A recently introduced bill (HB 1474/ SB 566) prohibits the sale of broadly-defined "weight-loss" supplements to individuals younger than 18 years of age. The bill also prohibits these products from being directly accessible to consumers, so they will be in locked cases or behind store counters. Many healthy products could fall under this bill's broad umbrella; hidden from a customer’s view, some people may never become aware of a product that would perfectly suit their health needs -or be too intimidated to ask for it.

Texas SB 3 would ban all cannabinoids except CBD and CBG, effectively eliminating 90-95% of the hemp product marketplace. On March 3rd, the Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs held a marathon hearing on Senate Bill 3, lasting more than 10 hours, with over 8 hours of testimony from 170 people. The bill passed, which means it now moves on to the house.
